Crude oil price up 90% in 3 months

The Brent Crude price rose above $50 for the first time in nearly 7 months earlier this week after recent events in Canada, Libya and West Africa lowered daily output by 4 million barrels.

FACT:  The Brent Crude price has increased almost 90% since the market plummeted to a 12-year low in February 2016.

Domestic heating oil suppliers have been feeling the effect, with average prices of domestic heating oil increasing 24% since February 2016 (see here).

If you use oil to heat your home we recommend that you keep track of the market by getting regular quotes from BoilerJuice and keeping your tanks topped up during the summer months, as prices often rise further during the winter months when demand increases.

If you aren’t ready to order we recommend regularly checking the average price across either England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland by utilising our heating price chart pages.

But remember, getting a quote is still the best way to find the best price available to you. With our best price guarantee you’ll always be given the best price we have available in your area.
